Starting R-CHOP Chemotherapy

Dec 10, 2021 | News and Updates

Today was when my chemotherapy started with a form called R-CHOP. This cycle didn’t contain the new drug Obinuturzumab, as they needed to treat me asap, because the cancer is aggressive & they needed to stop it spreading in its tracks, asap.

I’m being treated at the Cancer Centre London and the staff were lovely and looked after me so well & Kelly was able to stay with me for the whole 8 hours of my treatment.

It was definitely a surreal experience to be listening to Christmas music on the hospital’s playlist, whilst watching people coming & going throughout the day plugging into their treatment & getting on with work or watching films – like the most bizarre internet cafe! People will never cease to astound me with their resilience & adaptability…
