Alpaca Experiences

Meet the Herd

From our cheekiest alpaca Dickie, to the charmer Harry, you get to meet them all and learn more about Alpacas

Alpacas are a species of South American camelid.  They are related to Llamas and Camels but are much smaller. They are very friendly and curious animals and will welcome you to get up close and personal at your visit.  As trained Camelid Assisted Therapists we also work with them in our therapy programmes.

Alpacas greet others by touching noses, so they enjoy nose kissing when you meet them (especially Harry!)

Your experience lasts for 1 hour and includes:

  • A safety briefing and time to learn about alpacas and how to handle them, to ensure that your meet & greet is as safe and enjoyable as possible.
  • The opportunity to meet all of the boys & to learn about their different personalities
  • Time to hand feed the alpacas
  • The opportunity to walk the alpacas on a lead and harness (for people over 16 years of age)
  • Photo opportunities to remember your special encounter

Adults are charged at £25 per person and Children under 16 years are charged at £10

6, How many people will be on the experience?

Bring waterproof clothing if rain is forecast.  Don’t forget to charge your phone or camera to take photos!

7. What happens if I’m late?

As we often have experiences booked back to back, our experiences always start on time and it is essential that you are ready to start your experience on time. We will do all we can to reschedule you, however, no refund will be given.
